Over the past two consecutive months, a significant legal milestone has been achieved as two anti-black hate criminals, whose cases we have thoroughly profiled and brought to public attention, have both been officially convicted in a court of law. While these recent convictions demonstrate that committing anti-black hate crimes ultimately cost them their freedom and standing in this specific case, it remains clear that the current penalties are insufficient. We must continue our advocacy and collective efforts to ensure that the systemic and social consequences for perpetrating such hate crimes cost them far more in the future.
