Hello Everyone,

Have you ever wondered about our future? Of what will happen to us? Well, I didn’t think too much about it, until I started playing Capoeira Angola. you see, when you study a multifaceted art like Capoeira Angola, you jump down a rabbit hole, and that hole takes you to many different places. And if you pay attention, you’ll start to look at this world with a whole new set of eyes…

Anyway, I want you to watch this fascinating video I linked to this webpage.

I also put the original video In-Shadow, that the animation from this video came from HERE, because frankly, I think it’s very insightful.

For me, this film represents the sad state of our whole way of life,  how certain entities have led us to live our lives in a way that is not sustainable, and have kept us separated from each other in order to better control us, and how this separation is the very thing that is destroying us…

And also, the film represents our tremendous potential to come together, and create a beautiful world based on love and understanding, the way we were meant to live, once we wake up and free ourselves from what is keeping us apart.

You see, we are living in exceptional times. We conspire to get ahead of the next guy, to brutally compete with one another for the sustenance (money) to purchase life, to make ourselves look perfect so we could be liked by others.

If we don’t change the way WE ARE LIVING, dismantle the system we are living in, and in the process, avert the depletion of natural resources and the catastrophic evolution of the Earth’s climate, then we, as a species, are going to die very soon.

Either this earth we’re living on will become just another lifeless elliptical ball of a planet floating through space just like the other 8 lifeless planets in our solar system, or worse yet, we and our descendants end up living like something out of MAD MAX, or THE BOOK OF ELI, or our children, and their children will live in a totalitarian dictatorship the likes of which will make NORTH  KOREA look like a democratic paradise…

THIS WILL HAPPEN unless we get up, come together as a species and DO SOMETHING.

And what is it we have to do? We, as a species,  have to make a fundamental change to our whole way of thinking, and wake up from the lie we live.

Changing the way we think is the most difficult and necessary challenge for our species right now. It’s like the old adage that says that “fish don’t know they’re in water.” They’re so surrounded by it that it’s impossible for them to see. The water is like our ways of thinking. The assumptions we make about life have been so reinforced throughout our lives that we have difficulty seeing them. Yet our survival as a species depends us making the choice to understand, develop, and live from a new manner of thinking.

 

So, what does this have to do with capoeira?

Well, as anyone who’s been a part of capoeira for a long time knows, this is a way of life that can develop you not only physically and mentally, but spiritually as well. When you go deeply into capoeira, you learn to start thinking in a new way.

A way where you realize that there’s much more to life than working, going home, sitting at home while eating your way to an early grave, not being able to wait for the weekend when you can party, and spend all your hard earned money buying useless sh*t, until Monday comes and you have to do it all over again

You’ll start to look at life with a pair of different eyes, where you’ll be able to see behind the masks we all put on in this society for the world to see, kinda like this…

And then you’ll WAKE UP, you’ll look around and start to see how certain things in our society is F*^KED UP, and you’ll start doing things to change the world around you.

For the better, I hope.

But anyway, before you start your activism, a word of caution: People might start to see you as a nutcase.

Let’s explore why.

noun: conspiracy theory; plural noun: conspiracy theories

• An explanation for an event or situation that invokes a conspiracy by sinister and powerful groups, often political in motivation, when other explanations are more probable.

As we all know, this term has a negative connotation, implying that the appeal to a conspiracy is based on prejudice or insufficient evidence.

Now, the subject matter I’m typing about on this page isn’t as funny as this comedic sketch was, but this clip does illustrate how most of the populace view this subject.

I’m not going to go too much more into this topic, except to say that if you start talking about some of the things in this article, people will lump you into the conspiracy theorist category.

Now, I found this video on YouTube. Apparently it was banned, an in order to get it back on YouTube, they had to censor it. However, you can watch the FULL and complete unedited four-hour version by clicking HERE.

Is anything on this video true? Well, even the creators of the video tell you to take this with a grain of salt. However, I think that this information is worth thinking about.

Now, we all know that this will NOT be an easy task, by ANY means.

I mean, I AM talking about transforming an ENTIRE SOCIETY here.

People will say that we can’t change the way things are; others will ridicule us for even trying, they’ll say we’re crazy, we’re losing our minds, etc.

and often times our efforts will FAIL far more than they will succeed.

But don’t get discouraged…

YOU ARE NEVER TOO SMALL TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Yes, we may never know when our efforts will succeed, or even if they will at all, but we DO know what will happen if we don’t do the work:

NOTHING.

Now, I leave you with this message of hope. It’s often said that to chance the world for the better, you have to BE THE CHANGE you want to see. They, like us are the hope for this planet, because they learned to LOVE this planet, and treat it the way we would our mother.
