It’s about 2 successful businesswomen who are repeatedly belittled and harassed by men who make sexist assumptions based on thier appearance. The narrative highlights the toxic behavior these women face in professional and social settings, shedding light on the ongoing challenges of gender discrimination and bias. And you can tell the acting’s good when you wanna reach into the screen and strangle them to defend a woman you don’t even know. The intense performances make the conflict feel incredibly real, provoking strong frustration at how easily people treat others with disrespect.
Furthermore, I absolutely detest the line, “If we knew who you were.” It infuriates me every time because it unmasks a profoundly shallow and opportunistic mindset. It shows that some individuals only extend basic courtesy, respect, or attentiveness to people they perceive as powerful, wealthy, or socially influential. In reality, standard human decency should never be conditional; it should not require a background check or a high social status to be granted. Everyone deserves respect simply by virtue of being human. You should treat every single person you encounter exactly how you would want yourself or your own loved ones to be treated.
