YOU CAN’T MAKE THIS ISHT UP!

All of the work and struggle of the Civil Rights era doesn’t even benefit African Americans anymore, and yet the hang on is strong. This resilience can be traced back to the deep-rooted sense of community and identity that has been cultivated over generations.

Many African Americans continue to draw strength from the sacrifices made by those who fought for equality, justice, and basic human rights during a tumultuous period in history. Despite facing persistent systemic challenges and social injustices, the spirit of perseverance and the desire for a better future remain at the forefront of their collective consciousness, inspiring new generations to advocate for change and confront the ongoing inequities.

The legacy of the Civil Rights Movement, though fraught with complexities, still fosters a commitment to uplifting one another, fueling efforts to ensure that the hard-won rights are not taken for granted and that the fight for true equality continues.
