A sheriff is going viral after marching with protestors angry over the death of George Floyd, an African American man who died in police custody.
Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson asked the crowd in Flint, Michigan to tell officers what they needed to do – and they began chanting “walk with us.”
So he responded by saying “let’s walk.”
Footage posted to social media shows the sheriff giving hugs, handshakes and pats on the back to protestors.
“I want to make this a parade, not a protest,” Swanson can be heard saying on a video posted to social media.
