Who wants to destroy fascism?

For over eight decades, humanity has been equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to dismantle fascism at its very foundations. Our approach to combating this dangerous ideology is multifaceted, comprehensive, and strategically designed to empower individuals and foster collective action. This endeavor necessitates not only an unwavering commitment to education and awareness but also the active engagement of communities to cultivate resilience against divisive tactics. By vigorously encouraging open dialogue and mutual understanding, we can forge a more informed populace, critically capable of recognizing the nascent signs of authoritarianism and resisting its insidious spread. Furthermore, leveraging the transformative power of technology and social media allows for the broader and more rapid dissemination of values rooted deeply in democracy and human rights. Greetings! The majority of police officers are dedicated to protecting their communities and building trust through outreach programs like community events and educational workshops that foster engagement and understanding between law enforcement and the public. These proactive initiatives not only educate citizens about safety and crime prevention but also create opportunities for dialogue that can help bridge the gap between diverse communities. Unfortunately, a small number of officers abuse their power, which damages their reputations and undermines public trust in law enforcement, leading to skepticism and fear among the very people they are sworn to protect. This reality emphasizes the need for ongoing ethical training and stricter oversight to ensure accountability, as well as the importance of transparent policies that govern police conduct. On March 1st of this year, I made a post called ICE ICE BABY, Where I talk about the Ice raids, and what we as law abiding citizens can do about them.

I stand in solidarity with immigrants, acknowledging the injustice and human rights violations they face, as families are separated and communities suffer from fear and uncertainty. Every day, countless individuals leave their homes in search of safety and a better life, often facing unimaginable challenges along the way. Immigrants enrich our society, contributing their talents, cultures, and perspectives, which ultimately strengthens our communities. It is essential to recognize the immense sacrifices they make for the hope of a brighter future for themselves and their children. Everyone deserves safety and respect in their homes, regardless of their background. I oppose mass deportation, as it contradicts our values of compassion and human dignity; instead, we should advocate for humane policies that support integration and understanding. Border walls and harsh immigration laws only serve to deepen divides and perpetuate cycles of fear. Together, we can build a more inclusive society that embraces diversity and fosters a sense of belonging for all.

INSIDE NEO-NAZISM

Okay, before I go into this, we must answer the question: What is Neo-Nazism? Well…

Neo-Nazism is a global movement with organized representation across various countries, characterized by its elements borrowed from Nazi ideology, including antisemitism, racism, xenophobia, and ultranationalism. It aims to revive Nazi doctrines and often promotes racial supremacy while targeting minority groups. Neo-Nazis show admiration for historical Nazi figures and symbols, and many countries have laws in place prohibiting pro-Nazi expressions and related symbols to combat this ideology.

Below, we see a documentary about how Neo-Nazism in the USA actually works, featuring Arno Michaelis.

A former white nationalist skinhead and lead singer of the neo-Nazi band Centurion, Arno Michaelis was deeply involved in spreading neo-Nazi ideology from 1987 to 1994, during which his band achieved significant sales of their albums and garnered a troublingly dedicated following.

In this video, he reveals the insidious recruitment strategies employed by white nationalist groups, detailing the psychological manipulation and the violent brutality that often defined their actions, illustrating the chilling lengths to which these organizations go to entrench their ideology. Michaelis openly discusses the profound personal impact of his participation in this movement, including struggles with addiction and crime that marred his life, serving as a cautionary tale of the destructive nature of extremist beliefs.

After leaving the movement and seeking redemption, he transformed his life into that of an anti-hate activist, passionately working with organizations like Parents for Peace to deradicalize extremists and educate the public about the dangers of hate in all its forms. His commitment to this cause is unwavering, as he travels across the country, delivering powerful speeches that resonate with audiences and encourage dialogue about acceptance and understanding. He further documented his journey in his memoirs, including “My Life After Hate,” where he reflects on his tumultuous past, the choices that led him down a dark path, and the profound lessons he learned along the way.

Additionally, “The Gift of Our Wounds,” co-written with Pardeep Singh Kaleka, delves deeply into the themes of healing and reconciliation, exploring the complexities of trauma and the importance of forgiveness. Through workshops and community outreach, he seeks to inspire others to confront their biases and build bridges between divided communities. Through his efforts, Michaelis stands as a testament to the possibility of change and the power of compassion overcoming hate, proving that the wounds of the past can be transformed into a force for good.

I created this post because a couple of days ago, I wrote a BLOG about how in Lincoln Heights, Ohio, a Black village, residents formed an armed patrol for community safety after a neo-Nazi rally.

And I wondered, why would someone want to be involved in this hateful ideology, to become a neo-Nazi? What are his or her motivations? What are they getting from it? After much contemplation, it became evident that various factors might contribute to this troubling attraction, including a sense of belonging, personal grievances, or even a reaction to societal changes.

Well, I saw the video above, and after watching it with deep concern, I decided to post about it so that you, my audience, can get a broader perspective about what this is, the alarming implications it carries for individuals and society at large, and how to cure oneself of this mental disease, this insidious and toxic racist ideology we call Neo-Nazism. By sharing insights and personal stories, I aim to foster an understanding that encourages empathy and, ultimately, healing for those ensnared by this dangerous belief system.

So, Our dear president Donald Trump, and his administration, has been implementing Mass Deportations.

Of course, this is a very divisive topic that elicits strong feelings on all sides, and many black people here seem to have taken some kind of “hands-off policy” to this subject… for whatever reasons.

Well, I’m not one of them.

I wholeheartedly stand with our immigrant brothers and sisters in this fight, recognizing the inherent injustice and human rights violations that accompany such actions. Families are being torn apart, and communities are suffering as a result of these harsh measures that disrupt lives and create an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty. The rich tapestry of our society is built on the contributions of immigrants from various backgrounds, woven together by shared dreams and aspirations. Every individual deserves to feel safe and valued in their home and community, free from the threat of separation and discrimination. Therefore, I’m totally against mass deportation that has been going on in this country, as it contradicts the very values of compassion and respect for human dignity that we should uphold as a society.

Plus, Mass Deportations NEVER WORK.

The reason Mass Deportations NEVER work is due to the inherent complexity of human migration and the socio-economic factors that drive individuals to seek better opportunities in different countries. When entire communities are forcibly removed, it not only disrupts lives but also leads to increased tensions and resentment between different cultural groups. Furthermore, deportations often fail to address the root causes of migration, such as poverty, violence, and political instability in their home countries. Instead of resolving issues, these actions can exacerbate them, creating a cycle of displacement and desperation. Additionally, such measures can strain relationships between countries, leading to diplomatic fallout and weakening international cooperation on migration policy. In the long run, a more humane and comprehensive approach that focuses on integration, support, and addressing the reasons behind migration is essential for any meaningful solution.

It is crucial to recognize that immigrants enrich our culture, economy, and social fabric, bringing unique perspectives and strengths that enhance our collective experience. It’s vital for us to unite against these oppressive policies and advocate for a more inclusive approach that honors our collective humanity, fostering an environment where every person can thrive without fear and contribute to the well-being of our nation.

So, what can we do about it? How can we protect our communities against these ICE raids? One way is to organize community meetings to raise awareness and share resources about legal rights. We can collaborate with local advocacy groups that specialize in supporting affected individuals and families, providing them with the necessary tools to navigate these challenges.

Additionally, building networks of support can empower us to stand together, ensuring that everyone knows they are not alone in this fight. It’s essential to encourage community members to document any raids they witness, as this information can be crucial in holding authorities accountable. By taking these proactive steps, we can create a much safer and more resilient community. Furthermore, fostering an environment where individuals feel comfortable sharing their experiences can lead to stronger ties among residents, enhancing trust and collaboration. Workshops and community meetings can be organized to provide education on the documentation process, ensuring that members are fully equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively report incidents. So, Election day has come and gone in the U.S.A…

 

And now, once again, we’re in the Trump era.

So, what does this mean?

Well, the impact of Trump’s second presidency, I believe, is a clear and present threat to all of us, as it undermines the very foundations of democracy and civil liberties that we hold dear. This alarming rise of authoritarianism not only endangers the diverse fabric of our society but also promotes an atmosphere of fear and division among communities.

However, I’m a Capoeirista, and historically, the Capoeirista has always not only survived, but THRIVED no matter how oppressive the system of government in place. This resilience can be traced back to the heart of Brazil’s colonial past, where enslaved Africans, stripped of their freedom and dignity, ingeniously adapted their traditions and cultures into a unique form of expression and resistance. Through the art of capoeira, they forged a powerful connection not only among themselves but also created a legacy that would inspire future generations to stand against injustice and fight for their freedom.

 

Capoeira became more than just a means of combat; it evolved into a symbol of cultural identity, unity, and an indomitable spirit that resonated with those who practiced it. This vibrant tradition of ours has allowed practitioners to navigate through adversity while celebrating their heritage, fostering community and solidarity in the face of oppression, and advocating for our rights in a challenging world. To this day, it serves as a testament to their enduring strength, turning pain into power and transforming struggle into a profound expression of joy and resilience.

One thing is certain. With democratic institutions weakening and the voices of dissent being stifled, we must remain vigilant, united, and proactive in safeguarding our rights. This involves not only standing up for our beliefs in the face of oppression but also fostering an environment where open dialogue and diverse perspectives are encouraged and respected. By actively participating in civic duties, such as voting and community organizing, we can reclaim our agency and influence the trajectory of our society.
