Searching for THE TRUTH

Greetings!

Yes, the title of this page is clickbait… but not really.

This page is not necessarily about finding the truth, but DECIPHERING it.

And the powers that be in this world has a many, MANY ways to keep us from doing that.

So, what do I mean by “The Powers That Be?” Well…

In a world where influential entities often operate behind veils of mystery and ambiguity, I’m talking about the various forces, whether societal, political, or cultural, that wield significant influence.

In case you haven’t guessed already, this page is designed to get you to do a very important thing.

And that is…

THINK FOR YOURSELF, OR OTHERS WILL DO IT FOR YOU!!!

k

One of the gravest disservices the powers that be have done to the people of our world is to have provided us with a poor education.

We do not teach students to THINK

The ability to effectively process information is a crucial skill that impacts various aspects of our lives. Without mastering this skill, individuals may find themselves vulnerable to the influence of others who advocate for their own beliefs and ideologies. Learning how to discern, analyze, and critically evaluate information empowers individuals to form their own well-founded opinions, rather than being swayed by the agendas of others.

In today’s information-saturated world, being able to discern between reliable sources and misinformation is of paramount importance. By cultivating the ability to process and evaluate information effectively, individuals can navigate through the multitude of opinions and dogmas that vie for their attention. This skill enables them to make informed decisions that align with their own values and beliefs, rather than being at the mercy of external influences.

Furthermore, honing the skill of processing information allows individuals to engage in constructive dialogue and critical thinking. They can challenge assumptions, analyze arguments, and arrive at conclusions based on evidence and reason. This not only fosters personal growth but also contributes to rational discourse within society.

In essence, the ability to effectively process information is not only a learned skill but a crucial one for navigating the complexities of the modern world. It empowers individuals to think critically, form well-informed opinions, and resist the undue influence of those seeking to promote their own dogmas.

The problem is, that the powers that be (And most everyone else) would like you to uncritically believe what they are telling you about the way the world is. Many of them pretend that such uncritical belief is “faith”, which it is not.

If you do not have the tools to understand the true intentions of individuals or groups, it may lead to you forming inaccurate assumptions about the world. These misleading presuppositions can then influence the heuristics, or mental shortcuts, by which one navigates through life. Essentially, the statement highlights the significance of discernment and critical thinking in order to avoid being swayed by misleading or false narratives. It serves as a reminder to actively seek clarity and understanding, rather than basing one’s beliefs and actions on incomplete or distorted information.

Improving one’s intelligence by enhancing information processing skills is a nuanced and multifaceted endeavor. While it may sound straightforward in theory, the practical implementation can be quite challenging. Individuals often find themselves entrenched in familiar thinking patterns that feel comfortable and natural. As a result, attempting to modify their information processing approach can be met with resistance, stemming from the inherent reluctance to depart from the familiar and embrace change.

It’s important to recognize that the process of becoming “smarter” involves a significant mental shift and a willingness to break away from the status quo. This entails stepping out of one’s cognitive comfort zone and venturing into uncharted territory, which requires determination and perseverance. Overcoming ingrained thinking habits demands consistent effort and a readiness to confront the discomfort associated with leaving behind familiar mental routines. Nonetheless, the potential for personal growth and cognitive enhancement through refining information processing capabilities is substantial and should not be overlooked.

While the path to intellectual improvement may be fraught with challenges, the rewards of honing information processing skills and expanding cognitive horizons are profoundly worthwhile. It’s a journey that demands resilience, openness to change, and an unwavering commitment to continuous self-improvement.

Now, Let’s delve into the fascinating tale of Miyamoto Musashi, a figure shrouded in legend and reality alike. For many, he is revered as the greatest swordsman to have ever lived, an icon whose legacy has inspired countless anime and a philosopher whose teachings continue to shape the lives of many. Personally, I see him as a remarkable individual who achieved a feat as extraordinary as it is daunting: he claimed his first victory in a duel at the tender age of 13, and from there, he continued to add to his undefeated streak, the tally of which soared past 61 victories.

Miyamoto Musashi’s story, however, cannot be told without acknowledging his greatest rival, Sasaki Kojiro. The interwoven tale of these two formidable warriors adds depth and complexity to the narrative, providing insight into the challenges, aspirations, and triumphs that defined their encounters.

Their legend continues to captivate and intrigue, leaving an indelible mark on history and the hearts of those who admire the artistry and valor of the martial path. It is a story that transcends time and continues to inspire, leaving an enduring legacy that echoes through the ages.

Musashi had a revolutionary perspective on combat. He believed that all tactics were fair in battle, which gave him an advantage and helped him achieve victory in very challenging situations. Unlike others of his time, Musashi was adaptable and resourceful, using every possible means to win. He didn’t see fighting “dirty” the same way others did, as he had a comprehensive understanding of warfare. He acknowledged that the environment, chance events, and unconventional tactics were all crucial for a warrior. Musashi’s strategic insight and ability to spot opportunities where others saw only problems set him apart. His legacy shows the effectiveness of a versatile approach to combat, going beyond traditional ideas of honor and embracing a flexible mindset. This demonstrates the true art of martial skill and the idea that victory goes to those who can use all available resources to achieve their goals.

Now, some of you out there might be wondering…

WHAT DOES ALL THIS HAVE TO DO WITH CAPOEIRA?

WELL…

As I typed on ANOTHER PAGE, after learning capoeira for a while,You’ll start to look at life with a pair of different eyes, where you’ll be able to see behind the masks we all put on in this society for the world to see.

The individuals depicted above, including the Mestres and players, were not necessarily recipients of formal education, but they possessed a profound ability to THINK.

Coming from an era when the odds were consistently stacked against them, facing opposition at every turn, and being, at best, viewed as individuals to be exploited and, at worst, targeted for eradication, these individuals had to navigate through exceedingly challenging circumstances. Through their immersion in Capoeira and their unique life journeys, they developed the capacity to look beyond the limitations enforced by society, adapting and improvising in any scenario they encountered. The knowledge they amassed was, undoubtedly, profoundly rooted in the realities of the streets, delving far deeper than the brief overview I have provided here

(For further insight, click HERE).

Regrettably, some also leveraged these skills to deceive and exploit their peers. It is crucial to acknowledge that not all of them adhered to saintly conduct; nonetheless, they inhabited a tumultuous world, where they had to engage in such behavior in order to survive.

Their actions were often a result of the challenging circumstances they found themselves in, where the norms of society were different, and survival often necessitated making difficult choices. While it is important to hold individuals accountable for their actions, it is also essential to understand the complex factors that influenced their decisions. In examining the lives of these individuals, we gain insight into the multifaceted nature of human behavior and the impact of environment and circumstance on the choices we make.

SO… IS IT THE TRUTH?

It’s important for us to critically evaluate the truthfulness of what speakers in videos say, as they may sincerely believe in their messages and deliver them with conviction. However, in a world inundated with various media formats and platforms, it becomes increasingly essential to approach the claims made with a discerning eye. Our fast-paced media environment, where information is rapidly disseminated and can often be misleading, necessitates that we are particularly vigilant about the credibility of our information sources.

This diligence is especially important given the prevalence of misinformation and the impact it can have on public perception and understanding. Therefore, it is our responsibility to question, conduct thorough research, and verify the information we receive from all sources, embracing a mindset of critical thinking that empowers us to make informed decisions based on facts rather than assumptions. By doing so, we not only safeguard our own understanding but also contribute to a more informed society.

People’s motivations for sharing information can vary widely, and often, they may sincerely believe in what they are conveying. However, interpreting and evaluating the truthfulness of their statements requires careful consideration.

This is where CRITICAL THINKING plays a pivotal role. By engaging in critical analysis of the information presented, we can effectively assess the veracity of the content and form our own well-informed judgments.

Ultimately, the onus is on each of us to delve deeper beyond the surface of the narratives we encounter. By cultivating a habit of critical examination and seeking out diverse perspectives, we empower ourselves to make informed decisions about the information presented to us. In an age of abundant content, the pursuit of truth demands an active and vigilant approach from each and every one of us. Through our collective commitment to critical thinking, we can strive to discern the truth amidst the sea of information that surrounds us.

Remember , dear reader…

“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”

Buddha quotes (Hindu Prince Gautama Siddharta, the founder of Buddhism, 563-483 B.C.)

And on some of my pages, I make sure to include this message:

EVERYTHING I SHARED WITH YOU ABOVE IS BULL%*&T!!!

THAT IS… UNTIL YOU APPLY IT.

What do I mean by that? Well, it’s just a simple way of saying this…

“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Oh, I have one last thing for you.

THE INTERNET ARCHIVE – The Internet Archive was founded in 1996 by Brewster Kahle, a visionary aiming to preserve the ever-evolving landscape of digital information. It is a non-profit digital library that provides free public access to a massive collection of digitized materials, including websites, books, software, music, and videos, making it an invaluable resource for researchers, educators, and the general public.

With the motto of offering “universal access to all knowledge,” the Internet Archive serves as a time capsule of the internet, allowing users to explore historical versions of websites and access rare texts that might otherwise be forgotten. In addition to its extensive archives, the organization actively works on various initiatives to promote digital literacy and the democratization of information, ensuring that the wealth of knowledge contained within its virtual walls is available for future generations to discover and learn from.

Okay, I’m gonna end this page here.

If there’s ONE THING I want you to learn from this page, it’s this:

In this world full of deception, it can be challenging to discern the truth from the falsehoods that surround us.

Deception comes in many forms, from subtle half-truths to blatant lies, and its effects can be far-reaching, causing confusion, distrust, and disillusionment. It is essential to cultivate discernment and critical thinking to navigate through the sea of deception that we often find ourselves in.

By honing our ability to question, analyze, and verify information, we can strive to uncover the authentic amidst the fabricated. This journey towards truth requires resilience, an open mind, and a willingness to challenge our own beliefs and perceptions. In the midst of deception, let us cultivate a commitment to truth and integrity, both within ourselves and within the world around us.
