A little something about New Year Resolutions…

I saw this video onYou Tube today, and it reminds me of all the times I talked myself out of working out, or practicing My capoeira,

I’d always tell myself that I’ll do it tomorrow, TOMORROW I’ll go to the park, I’ll go downtown, to the beach, etc. “TOMORROW”. But “TOMORROW” NEVER COMES, and then I realize I’ve wasted an entire week or two doing nothing.

Well, I’m gonna take this guy’s advice, and start living EVERY DAY like it’s a new year, and start taking care of buisness!

WELCOME TO 2019!!!!!

Yeah folks, it’s a brand new Year!!!! 2018 was a pretty good year, and I thought it would be a good Idea to post this review video…

I’m sure you’d all agree that this is a good video, but I bet you’re wondering, “What does this have to do with Capoeira”?

Well, the short answer is “NOT A DAMN THING!!!!!!!”

And that’s true. However, I’d like to take this time to repost what this blog will be about.

This blog will be about whatever I WANT it to be about.

O.K., I’m kidding (well, sort of). What this blog will be about is Capoeira Angola of course, but also it will be about the many areas of life that Capoeira Angola has it’s feet in.

In the ABOUT page, I typed that Capoeira has many faces.

It’s a dance, but it’s much more than that.

It’s a deadly martial art, but it’s much more than that.

It’s singing and playing music, but it’s much more than that.

It’s a philosophy, but it’s much more than that

It’s Art, but it’s much more than that.

so, this blog will be revolving around all of Capoeira’s many faces, Dance, music, self-defense, social justice, etc. And no, not everything I post will be about Capoeira Angola. In fact most of it won’t be, at least on the surface. But, they WILL be about  the many aspects of Capoeira Angola, and and the many issues surrounding it.

I posted that on my second official blog, and these rules haven’t changed. A LOT of thge posts I’m gonna put on this blog will (seemingly) have NOTHING to do with Capoeira… but they will be about the issues SURROUNDING capoeira.

However, if you’re really DYING to see some Capoeira, well here:

The sovereign country we in the U.S. never knew we were occupying…

Once again, the video says it all. However, one thing kinda bothers me about this video. It wasn’t American buisnessmen which overthrew the Hawaiian monarchy, it was THE HAWAIIAN LEAGUE. Of course, I’m nitpicking here, since the Hawaiian league was mostly made up of White Hawaiian/American businessmen,  but hey, I’m about historical accuracy.
