Williams was in charge of the emergency room on Thursday night when 14 police officers and two civilians were shot by a sniper. Seven of those officers were taken to Parkland; three of them died. The attack shook Dallas and sent ripples of grief and despair across the country.
A crowdfunding campaign for the three churches collected more than $850,000 after it was widely shared on social media on Tuesday.
