Well, whatever you want to call this day, I had a day off on it, which means I had a 3-day weekend, which included 2 fun Rodas, 1 amazing Capoeira zoom class, some sushi, and a little exploration.

Here’s a little photobomb about my weekend, filled with unexpected surprises and delightful moments that made it truly memorable.

Now I don’t have much roda footage, because I was busy PLAYING in it, fully immersed in the moment and enjoying every second of the energy around me. However, I did manage to capture this beautiful gem between my teacher Charles and a possible future Mestre, showcasing the fun and beauty in this vibrant game.

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite games EVER, as Charles, while playing with this young boy, showcases the essence of Capoeira Angola. This unique martial art form is not only a deadly expression of skill and precision but also an amazing way to bring people together, fostering a sense of community and connection that transcends age and background. As they engage in playful combat, swirling and dodging in a dance-like manner, spectators are drawn into the rhythm and energy that Capoeira exudes. It’s inspiring to see how this interaction not only enhances their physical abilities but also strengthens their emotional bonds, highlighting the importance of collaboration and mutual respect in any practice. Through these moments, the beauty of Capoeira Angola is revealed as a powerful force that lifts people up, encourages cultural exchange, and instills a profound appreciation for the art and its rich history.
