Yobè pays homage to Alkebulan (African) Kamerun Warrior and Pan-Afrikan Freedom Fighter, Ruben Um Nyobè who fought against French colonialism in Cameroon before the French murdered him on September 13, 1958.
Ijakadi is a Yoruba word that literally means Wrestle which is considered “martial arts” in many parts of Africa from the Kemetic tomb of Baqet III to the Laamb of Senegal and Ijakadi or Gidigbo of the Yoruba.
