Law 10: Infection: avoid the unhappy and unlucky.

You’ll die from other’s misery – emotional states are as infectious as diseases, spreading from one person to another without any physical contact. The unfortunate draw misfortune on themselves and will inevitably begin to draw it on you as well, creating a cycle of negativity that can be hard to break. Their pessimism and despair can cloud your judgment and alter your outlook on life.

Instead, it is wise to associate with the happy and fortunate, those who radiate positivity and inspire hope. By surrounding yourself with individuals who uplift and motivate you, you can create a protective barrier against the emotional toxicity that often lurks in negative company. Engaging with such people not only enhances your mood but also encourages personal growth and resilience in the face of challenges. Remember, the company you keep plays a significant role in shaping your perspective and emotional well-being; it influences your thoughts, behaviors, and even your aspirations. Therefore, actively seeking out relationships with positive, supportive individuals can lead to a more fulfilling life, where joy and motivation flourish, allowing you to navigate life’s obstacles with greater ease and determination.

The 10th Law of Attraction: The Rhythm of Intention, Through the Eyes of an Angoleiro

—–Introduction: Beyond the Mere Thought

The Law of Attraction is often simplified to “think positive, and good things will happen.” While positive thought is a crucial component, it is merely the seed. The true mastery of attraction—the 10th Law—lies in the sustained, embodied practice of intention, a concept best understood through the philosophy and movement of Capoeira Angola.

The Angoleiro, a practitioner of Capoeira Angola, understands that intention is not static; it is a rhythm, a continuous dialogue between the inner self and the external world. His movements, simultaneously defensive and playful, are not random acts but physical manifestations of deep-seated purpose, mirroring the subtle yet powerful process by which desires are drawn into reality.I. Ginga: The Foundation of Unwavering Flow

The core movement in Capoeira Angola is the Ginga—a perpetual, rhythmic rocking motion. It is not a stance but a state of being, a continuous flow that never settles into a fixed position.

  • In Attraction: The Ginga represents the foundational principle of the 10th Law: unwavering faith and continuous alignment. You do not manifest your desire once and then wait; you live in the vibration of that desire perpetually. The Ginga teaches that to stand still is to be vulnerable and stuck; to flow is to maintain momentum and preparedness. An Angoleiro is always moving, always adjusting, always anticipating—just as the most successful attractors are always maintaining a high vibrational frequency, regardless of immediate external circumstances. The Ginga is the commitment to the rhythm of your goal.

II. Malícia: The Subtle Art of Intention

Malícia translates literally to “malice” or “cunning,” but in the context of Capoeira, it signifies the profound, subtle wisdom to read the environment, anticipate the opponent’s moves, and execute a plan that appears effortless and surprising.

  • In Attraction: Malícia is the Law of Intuitive Action and Energetic Intelligence. It’s the ability to discern the precise moment and path of least resistance for inspired action. It’s not about forcing the outcome; it’s about being spiritually and mentally sharp enough to recognize the opportunities—the “openings” in the universe—that lead directly to your manifestation. The Angoleiro uses his Malícia not to harm, but to conserve energy and move with maximum efficiency. Similarly, the 10th Law dictates that effective attraction involves intelligent, aligned action, not frantic, uninspired effort.

III. Aú: The Courage of Transformation

The is the cartwheel, a move that is deceptively simple yet fundamentally transformative. When performed in the roda (the circle where Capoeira is played), the Aú exposes the Angoleiro to great vulnerability. Yet, it is also a move of escape, transition, and repositioning.

  • In Attraction: The Aú represents the Law of Courageous Vulnerability and Required Transformation. To attract a major desire, one often has to “turn one’s world upside down”—to shift perspective, exit a comfort zone, or embrace a temporary state of vulnerability (like starting a new business or ending a toxic relationship). The Aú is the willingness to execute the dramatic, necessary energetic shift. It teaches that the path to a higher vibration often requires a moment where you are completely “exposed” to the new reality before you land securely in it.

IV. Axé: The Collective Power of Belief

Axé (pronounced ah-shay) is a Yoruba term fundamental to Afro-Brazilian culture. It embodies the living, spiritual power, the divine force that makes things happen. In the roda, the collective energy, the music, the call-and-response—it all accumulates Axé.In Attraction: Axé is the Law of Resonance and Collective Contribution. It recognizes that while your desire is personal, the energy required to manifest it is often amplified by the world around you. Your focus, your passion, and your rhythm (Ginga) create an energetic vibration that contributes to the collective human experience, and the universe responds in kind. The 10th Law concludes that the most potent manifestations are those that are not purely selfish but carry a degree of Axé—a life force, a benefit, or a powerful energy that elevates the vibration of others as well as the self.
